well, i like to lay my cares on Jesus like the Bible says. I know a lot of people say, "right. say the christian answer, like i can do that." people think that stress or anger is something that prevents them from doing the right thing. really, it's the only way out of troubles.
other than that, i have another piece of advice if you choose to find other means of stress relief: doing something to "relieve your anger/stress" is only useful if you feel better afterwards: for example listening to angry music to 'let it out.' most of that kind of music just makes you angrier. that's not what you want.

I usually break stuff. That helps a lot. j/k
Usually I take my stress out in writing. Songs, poetry, some sort of personal journal... It usually helps.

Having to deal with my dad gives me alot of extra stress. I find that talking with friends, praying or blowing stuff up in games helps a good bit.

Well, when I'm stressed out I pray with God and ask him to help me through whatever is bothering me, then I may write in my notebook about what is going on. . .
But my alltime favorite "stress reliever" is going for a ride on my motorcycle. That's what helps me. . .

scream (into a pillow or when the house is empty), scribble on something (i can't draw to save my life) or break something. generally, pencils or branches or something like that. or eat chocolate. lots of chocolate.

hhmm......I usually just go to my room and sit in there for a while. my teddy bear has a hole him, so I take his stuffing out and put it back in.....I don't know why, but that makes me feel better!
I play on my guitar. Throw stuff into the ground(When I really get frustrated(I stay away from valuable stuff))
Talk to God bout the problem. Find something to laugh about. Or go run till I feel sick. All of it helps and when you feel you want to hit something. PLEASE DO NOT HIT A WALL. IT IS THICKER THAN YOUR HEAD. ;)
But doing exercise is a very good way to relax, cause it calms your body down.

I studied about it in psychology.
When I was in highschool, I was super-stressed. I would go running for 2 Km. Then I was calm for the rest of the day I did that once a week on fridays when the stress of the week would accumulate.
If you can do relaxing, even relaxing your mind, it might help. It just means relaxing your self and deciding for a couple moments to think of something relaxing and not about this world and what stresses you out.
Contemporary mime is good, if you are stressed out constantly, one of the problems might be having a hard time switching concentration. (In mime you learn to easily switch concentration grears to act out a person climbing a rope, for example, these mime illusions are best done when you have your mind fixed on imagining, in this case, the rope you climb on, you have to switch concentration. for a moment you can escape stress.) Any activity that can make you forget that you are stressed is good. (Only mime teaches you how to do it more automatically. Dance is good in this sense, if you know how to act-dance)
It also depends what the source of your stress is. Changes, like moving houses, like an annoying aunt moving into your house, like new school, or even new country? For these you can do things. Repare your attitude to think of it as less stressful "in a year it will feel normal". A certain amount of controlled escapism- -rather than letting the thoughts turn in your head and get worse, read a book. When you've calmed down then think of solutions. If the problem is exams, or dead lines, again, it's one day at a time and not thinking to badly about it. Scary meeting? Really change the focus of attention
But there are other reasons for stress. Like, in high school I was in love with a guy whome I couldn't marry if you get my meaning. And when I wasn't in love, the stress continued, but not as bad. There were probably a million ways to deal with it, but at the time - all I knew about was running.
Well I hope that give a little help.

When im stressed, which actually isnt that often, i tend to sit in my room and speak to God about whats happening until i feel calmer then i just draw (i can sit for about 8hrs straight just drawing) and listening to music......it really helps.
You definately need to find some way to release your stress, but i think talking to God is the best way.....Hes the only one who truly understands and can give you the strength to deal with it :)

When I'm stressed I either write poems/songs or listen to some heavy music to release the anxiety. or do both.

I write about what's annoying/upsetting me, like a prayer, and I find that if I keep going for long enough, I can work things round with God, and find peace, and realise either how stupid I was being or what needs to be done. That's what works, anyway. Sometimes I just cry and lie in a corner, but that doesn't help, nor does putting on emotional music, because it just makes me feel worse. But I'm not a very sressed person in general, so it takes a lot to get me to a state of desparation, then I'm usuallly just tired so I go to bed and everythings better in the morning!

I like to cry. You know, get things out of my system. It seems that, almost always, if I'm really upset about something and I start crying, I get over it much faster. I just cry and then it's like BAM! and I'm over it and I'm like, 'wow, I'm over it!' I don't go around in public doing that, of course!

Join the club! I stress over EVERYTHING..I analyze details and becoming increasingly neurotic..But here are some things that help..
*I detail things in my planner so that I remember everything...
*I pray and ask God for the wisdom to tackle hard Math Problems or irritatingly difficult Chemistry compounds.
*I also go for walks and contemplate the sky...
*listening to music is the best! Especially worship music like the self-titled Sonicflood or compliation worship cds.
* It also helps to take in the whole picture, not simply the part you are stressing over..
*I talk the problem over with either of my parents..sometimes getting someone else's perspective really helps
*Oh yes..also..cleaning my room! As silly as it sounds, if I can't focus because of the stress, I clean..that way I know my room is clean, and then I am able to work out some of my emotions

I can get really stressed sometimes to the point where even if I am dead tired I won't sleep the best thing I have found to do is pray and repent for not putting my trust in God because He is Sovereign and rules over all the areas of my life and then I rebuke the spirit of anxiety and stress. I did that once and when I was trying to sleep but couldn't and once I asked for forgiveness and rebuked it I fell asleep instantly.
i go on drives in the backroads in the mountains or hills and listen to some easy music, like more faithful. or i go for walk in the woods or mountain bike. the best thing is skiing, but i cant do that very often. i try to leave the house as much as i can, being inside my room doesnt seem to help. the outdoors is the best thing for me, seeing what God has created. at night, if its clear and not too cold, i like to drive out to the mountains and watch the stars by the river.

When I was in high school, and there was people there who I really didn't like, I'd take their school picture and tape it to my snare and my toms and bang the crap on the picture lol. It didn't really solve anything, but only made me happy temporarily.
Well the Bible says "Cast your cares on to the Lord for He cares for you." I just tell God what I'm up against and believe He'll take care of it. So that's what I do.

"I stand silently before the Lord, waiting for Him to rescue me. For salvation comes from Him alone. Yes, He alone is my Rock, my rescuer, defense and fortress. Why then should I be tense with fear when troubles come?"
Psalm 62:1-2
i think prayer is the best way of releasing stress, even if i dont feel like it i try to pray and the more time i spend talking with God the less stressed i become......ive had ppl tell me they just can't pray when they are very stressed, that they cant focus.......its these times that you most need God's help ad guidance.
"Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don't forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:6-7

Okay, seriously now. Those are some incredibly comforting verses and I'm glad you shared them. Thank you.
I just write stuff, poetry/lyrics or just nonsense junk, it makes me feel better to get stuff out on paper. Walking outside and breathing fresh air clears my mind. This, as well, as daily reading of the Word and constant prayer, helps me with my day to day stress.
