Hmmm... where do I start? LOL

First of all, I have seen Skillet a few times in the past. The first time was at Calvary Chapel, Salt Lake City probably about 6 years ago. At the time, they seemed a little screamy for me, but recall really liking a few songs. Then I saw them at Rock the Canyon and liked them a little more, although Corey wasn't with them at the time. Last year they played at Creation West, and I saw them there, and really liked their set. Thursday I saw Skillet at In the Venue in Salt Lake City and was completely blown away. Both Skillet and Decyfer Down played an excellent set. They were all very animated on stage and I loved all of the interaction.

I have been listening to Comatose the last few days, and I had been enjoying it, but it was nothing compared to the live versions. I was especially impressed with how well the sound was mixed at this show. I could hear all of the vocals really well from the front row, which isn't always the case. I'm not sure what more I can say except I was not even the least bit disappointed that I took off work to go.

I took quite a few pics, but I had to take my point and shoot in and it doesn't do so well at 800 ISO (tons of noise) and for some reason the newly charged batteries didn't really hold out as long as they should have (and I lost my other set) so it died pretty early in the show. Anyway, here are a few so-so pics from SLC:

My daughter left before me, so she went to my car and retrieved my digital SLR for after the show, so these are a lot better quality:
