As Skillet is coming to O’Neill, NE next week (and Papillion, NE the next day), I had the opportunity to interview John Cooper by phone last week for a story that was in today’s paper. The following is a link to the story. John sure is entertaining—he was driving a minivan through Utah while we were talking.

A couple of friends came and sat in on the interview. We were all laughing at one point, but John didn't seem to mind the crowd on my end.

Now I want to hear this unreleased song "Live Free or Let Me Die".

Me too, I want to hear that song sooo much!! I heard John say somewhere that it was one of his favorites for Comatose, it just wasn't recorded in time. Maybe the next album...

Maybe they'll rerelease Comatose with it like they did with Open Wounds and Collide.

Open Wounds wasn't originally on Collide? And I already have Comatose...

05-12-2007, 04:19 PM
^I already had Collide, and had to buy the re-released version with "Open Wounds" on it. Well, I didn't have to but I did to have the song.

shredding is a good thing you know...

i know that, timmy. i just don't see "shredding guitar solos" present on the album.....a 14 second guitar interlude isn't shredding by any means!

05-13-2007, 06:15 AM
The band will be playing 22 shows in June, along with a few radio concerts, and will have the opportunity to open shows for mainstream acts 3 Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin.

It would've been cool if they could have opened for them in Cleveland at the end of the month. But we can't have everything in life. :P

05-13-2007, 06:29 PM
Sorry Riz, the world does not revolve around Cleveland.

05-13-2007, 08:40 PM
Sorry Riz, the world does not revolve around Cleveland.

but it has the rock and roll hall fame, so all rock should revolve around it right?

Why don't Hollywood revolve around Hollywood? Wait - does that make sense?

john mentioned the unreleased song 'live free or let me die' you should of asked him if they are going to do anything with the song...fans really want to here it.
