I'm looking at a mid-February move to Bakersfield, California. Fortunately, a friend of mine and her mom have decided to let me rent a room from them for the time being. Please pray that I will be able to find a good job there in Bakersfield and that the trek from Arizona to my destination will be a smooth one. I've been waiting to move out of my parent's house for years now and now that it's finally upon me, I'm a little nervous.

My mom, brother and I are leaving early Saturday morning for California. They will be coming home without me.

Well it's just me leaving tomorrow morning. The son of my mom's best friend is being released from prison tomorrow and my mom wants to be there for her. It's cool, but I'm having to leave some things behind for now because I won't have her car to load up. But yeah... just me. I'm leaving around five so... think of me then!

Welcome to Cali, even tho i'm on the bottom half (southern that is) lol..that's cool but weird at the same time--i'm ganna be moving from Cali to Arizona! Okay so now I'm here in California and I'm getting settled in my room here and spending 342492387 hours of time with Chrishna and now I need a job. I was looking online in the classifieds last night and I found a graphics position at a place called Reed Printing Inc. I went in this morning and filled out an application and gave them my resume. Now I guess I just have wait. Any prayer for that would be greatly appreciated. I keep telling everyone that I want a REAL job [i.e. not food or retail] and I think this could be it.

i'll be sure to add that to my list of things to pray for. :) i know what you mean about a "real job" tho. it makes life seem a little more worthwhile...

Yeah, no more vacuum job. It's the kind of thing for only some people. Like, the sales part I could do easily. But they were making us walk around in the middle of the afternoon for hours at a time knocking on doors and it was SO HOT and the only water we had was in the van that was no where near us... and we weren't getting paid for it. Oh and then there the was the part that they were twelve hour days. It's the kind of job for people who don't have any one else in their life and can live for their job.
