I realized they didn't have a thread. What a shame.

How could you not love this:

:.Edit.:

After consulting wikipedia I have discoverd that Jump5 will be disbanding at the end of 2007. I find this to be even more tragic than the fact that they didn't have a thread here. They shall be surely missed through out the heavy metal community.

Be nice.

Teenybopper dance-pop tries my nerves, but at least it’s admirable that they wanted to be a positive influence to kids and preteens. And they’re committed Christian kids. Or, well, they were kids. I can see why they’d quit though. Getting older they’d have to know that sunshiny synth-pop music was an unfortunate phase that many passed through before finding out that rock was better.

I don't actually know who Raze is.

But my point was simply that they are fellow Christians and in that is reason enough to not pick on them because we don't like their genre of music. Being snarky simply for the sake of it builds up no one.

They were one of those Christian pop bands. Had boys and girls of multiple ages. One of which was busted for rape for sleeping with one of the underage girls in the band. :P

Okay...

How does that correlate to Jump5 at all? Because they are both dance-pop groups?

Because they were once a giant pop band, I'd dare say there had a bigger influence than Jump5 did in their hey-day, and all the little kiddies looked up to them until their singer J'Marc (Yeah, I know his name without looking it up) got busted for sleeping with a minor.

And satire is not always offensive. The mere fact that I'm satrizing the band shows that I think they're something important.

*let's not derail this thread to one man's past mistake...*

ANYWAY, i knew it was coming since they are growing up. dunno why but i thought it wouldn't work as well for their image to "get old."

i think they have a replacement already.... Pure NRGY... or something like that (pure energy but they tried to be creative with the spelling).

I actually liked Jump5, and I have all of their CDs. Granted, I wasn't the over-the-top fan like one girl I know... I still kinda like them kinda, but I've moved on into liking hard rock/metal/emo way better.

I must admit, I was never into them. The first band I ever liked was Linkin Park. Man, that was ages ago.

But never the less. I try not to knock bands of different genres. I've improved over the years, but I still can't help but do it every once in a while. :P

i saw a Pure NRGY cd at a FYI music store at the mall. the members were very young, kind of like a christian Naked Brothers Band or somethin lol

So at Creation Fest I was going through the music store (to which I bought 22 CDs) and I saw Pure NRG on the rack! I must say, they look like a carbon copy of Jump5.

Naturally, I didn't buy the CD.
