Just out of curiosity - are there any Panheads.org T-Shirts?

This seems like such a large, well-organized fan community. And these are the official Skillet boards. So I figured there's gotta be some sort of panheads.org merch. Right?

Maybe?

I don't think there are anyway. Perhaps we could make our own?

Punkchick_002

Yeah....that sounds kool!!! Um...what would they look like?

DarkestRose
07-01-2007, 12:41 PM
I would create a black tee with that PH frying pan symbol with panheads.org wrapped under it.

Ya'll like that?

Punkchick_002
07-01-2007, 05:16 PM
Yeah.....what color would the symbol be, silver?

Yup, like the header of the site.

Kool! I like it!!! Or maybe, you should do diffreent colors......ot like on the thing, like a rainbow, but have like a black and silver, a black and pink, and a black and blue...something like that!

Quadripedman
07-01-2007, 05:34 PM
i like the black and silver idea. but if you do do different colors, you'd have to do black and shiny red (if thats possible) cause that looks totally awexome.

Yeah...I would...I never thought of that!!!!!!

Hmmm... I'd be interested in getting some feedback from some of the more veteran members. Maybe there's something I don't know about. Or maybe they have tried this before and it failed miserably.

I've done this (had t-shirts made) at one other site (KutlessRocks.com) and ended up giving most of them away and eating $200 or so in the process.

The most cost effective way would be to pick a single design. T-shirt color can vary - its the design that costs. Sizes can vary (though anything larger than XL costs a bit more). And, of course, the larger the quantity, the lower the cost per shirt (to a point).

Best case, if I get together an order for 25 or more shirts, the price, with shipping, would come to $15 a shirt or so. And there's always the added issue of getting shirts to people since that requires a degree of information sharing with which many are uncomfortable.

Here's my first shot at the design. We would, of course, need permission from the site owner and anyone else that might have a trademark on the name.

If Panheads closes, will we even need shirts?

But then again, fans will still be called Panheads. We could make a Panheads shirt, just not for this site.

timmyrotter

we should make some that say panheads.org RIP 2001-2007 or whatever

Once upon a time, we talked about making shirts. The biggest thing that held us back was that we couldn't decide on a logo to put on them. What we did make was stickers. I've still got a load of old PH.org stickers left.

Wow. ADD attack ;D

And, while I admit that having Will announce the closure of ph.org just after my starting this thread is a bit of a slap in the face, I suppose it's my own fault. He did warn us. I guess I was just hoping he'd changed his mind. :(

All that being said, the idea could move forward with a few modifications. If nothing else, it would provide us with Skillet T-Shirts only available in limited quantities to the few faithful that lurk here ;)

On the down side, it would also mean getting formal permission from the band (and the label and the company that owns the advertising rights and the lawyers and all the band members' mothers and ...) if this idea was pushed on message boards that are actually maintained on skillet.com.

*sigh* Maybe not...

I had no idea about those stickers! Let me/us know how we can get our hands on one!

If shirts do get made, I'm all up for getting one myself. I've been a member of these boards as long as I've been a Skillet fan (since the beginning Alien Youth days)!

And, while I admit that having Will announce the closure of ph.org just after my starting this thread is a bit of a slap in the face, I suppose it's my own fault. An unfortunate coincidence, I assure you. I emailed Zach two weeks prior letting him know that I was planning to announce it on the first and have it all moved by the 15th. I think the only panheads.org shirt ever made was one I made on a black t-shirt with iron-on transfer paper. It had the PH logo (at that time) on the front pocket and "PANHEAD" across the top of the back. It was pretty bad :) Dana made a bit of clothing as well, but I don't recall if she ever included "PH.org" on it.

DarkestRose
07-05-2007, 06:00 PM
I like the iron-on idea. Would there be a way for us to make a transfer that made a good tee shirt? It would be easier to do, I'd think.

Quadripedman
07-05-2007, 06:56 PM
from the experience ive had with iron-on t-shirts, they dont look very nice and profecional. and the iron on thing will come off in the wash so youll end up with spaces in the middle of words/logo

DarkestRose
07-05-2007, 07:10 PM
Oh. Well. That sucks. I've never made an iron-on.

I have made lots of iron-on shirts for various reasons and that's happened to all of them so far.

Punkchick_002
07-06-2007, 01:41 AM
Yeah.....I don't like iron-on's either! But, what elso could we use?

Tromos
07-06-2007, 08:15 AM
Oh, I'd still have them made if there was enough interest. But a single shirt for me would cost like $60, since it's $40-$50 to do the setup. Once it's set up, they can make all they want. If you assume $8 - $12 for a good quality T-shirt, and $2 - $3 to put the design on each, it becomes a matter of minimizing the setup costs through quantity.

Quadripedman
07-06-2007, 05:14 PM
yea, you can get a pretty nice t-shirt for not that much if you sell enough of them. heck, id buy one :P
