Get the United Live cds. They are very energetic and fresh, even with the older songs...

It is You and He Reigns from the Newsboys are really good (and simple) songs. Also, if you can get ahold of an Aquire The Fire cd, I would do it.
You've really got to check out The David Crowder Band and Passion...alot of their stuff is awesome and just powerful, especially david crowder's "o praise Him"...man....awesome stuff.

Ever heard of Enter the Worship Circle? My church does pretty much all their stuff for worship. They're the best worship band I know, their music is so annointed.

Any of the Passion CD's are great, I definitely recommend those. I'm listening to one now, and it includes the songs:
"Here I Am to Worship"
"Enough"
"Famous One"
"Prepare the Way"
"Sweep Me Away"
"Madly"
"Psalm 126 (You Have Done Great Things)"
"Wonderful King"
"Our Love is Loud"
"Come Thou Fount"
"God of Wonders"
"My Glorious"
"Dance in the River"
Famous One, Sweep Me Away and Come Thou Fount are my favorites, but I love them all.

see...i was going to say him...but his ministry is just extremely unique...can you really replicate songs like "fly" and "when you were a child" in a traditional sunday morning session?
but if you do check into Jason Upton, i recommend his 40records release, "Faith." there are songs on there that i could see a congregation being able to sing along with. (and yeah, i'm lazy and ending my sentence incorrectly.)
Hillsong Australia is good. i second Passion and Acquire the Fire CDs, especially their "Live the Difference" CD from last year's convention.
and hey, why not write your own worship music?

Hillsong, definitely. United is just Hillsong's youth band, but all their cds are great. The United cd's or there's Hillsong's "Hope", "Blessed", "Amazing love" and a bunch more. Our youth band plays alot of their songs and we also sing some of their songs at Sunday morning services. They're awesome.
Also check out Jeremy Camp's new worship cd. (If you have at least one guy vocalist) We've started working on a few of the songs from his cd, they're great songs and alot of fun.

my home church seems to have the same problem, but mainly its cuz the keyboardist can't improvise or anything so all the songs she can play hafta be in written sheet music, she can't play off lead sheets or guitar chords. W/ most of the newer praise and worship songs, we can't find full sheet music for so as a result, my church can't do them. However, here at my college, we always do the newest cutting-edge songs which rawks!!! :cheesy:

My Glorious from Delirious? is pretty nifty. I guess that's true about most of their stuff, though.
