I am wondering if there are some good Christian punk bands with a solid message? I mean, there's Relient K, Mxpx, Dogwood, Off the Record, Slick Shoes, and others that I don't see as having a real strong Christian message. Is anyone with me on this? On a side note, what do you think qualifies a band as "Christian"?

What makes them Christian? If you wish of that... I can comment on it. To make them Christian - they'd have to promote God in their music. But - a lot of bands do that, but they're not true to it. It really depends, but for the most part if God is being promoted in the songs then, yes it is Christian music.

My opinion - a band is Christian if Christ is the centre of ttheir lives, their band and their music.

BTW We already have half a dozen discussions or so about Christian music. Some are in Mars hill others are in the Music bit.

Expect this thread to be moved there later.
