at creation on the tag to alien youth, he was climbing up on the speakers and then the cord got unplugged. it was so funny. john made him stop and they did the end again. and at the concert in allentown he messed up when he was playing behind his head, so they stoped and started again. o yeah!

Ben and his many guitar mistakes. When you rock that hard your bound to break something, haha. Kinda like at creation east this year. Ben broke his strap, what a rebel :P

I heard from a friend of mine that he fell off the stage at the.. I think the name of it was InsideOut Soul fest or somethin..

it's been cool to see Ben improve in his skills as a guitarist and as a stage-performer. what i mean by that is that his stage presence has gotten better. when my sisters and i first saw him, he was 16 years old. he didn't move around at all, and John kept talking to him at certain points (maybe to givce suggestions? i don't know). now he's a mad guitar player running across the stage. it's nice to see that he's gotten more comfortable playing.

Yeah, I've never seen him play live, but I watched the Creation East archives and he was crazy. It rocked! :)

Definately a noticeable improvement from some of the Day 7 archives I watched.

I still remember when he was still in his diapers......I....I....I promised myself i wouldnt cry.

i would imagine he could pick up most any stringed instrument and be able to play it within a few minutes.... at least to some degree.

Guitar isnt that hard to pick up on though really, I have only been playing about 3 months and I know all most everything you really need to know to play guitar good. Alot of people say it sounds like I have been playing longer then just 3 months, maybe I just picked up on it easier then others.

there is alot of people who can just pick up an instrument and just roll with it and never really played that instrument.....

having a musical background usually contributes to their ability to pick up an instrument and learn it really fast.

for me, being in choir and learning music theory helped me pick up guitar faster than most.

and when i saw skillet for the first leg of the AY tour, we have a CCM magazine with us - there was an article about skillet in there, and SCC was on the cover. when ben signed it, he said how a lot of people told him he looked like SCC and asked if we saw a resemblance. we told him "yes". it was pretty funny.

That one is a GMP Roxie and runs about $2,550.00. Ben doesn't like that one that much... partly because he is stuck on that black thing he has that is practically falling apart.

Their guitars are expencive, but they are worth every cent. We are going to be having a few customs made for ourselves soon.

Hey all. Last night I attended the magnificent Skillet show at The Door. What a friggin' awesome show! Anywho, Ben is a superb guitarist, and my friend says he's 17. And he justifies this simply because "their site says so". Well, maybe its just me, but they've had the exact same bios on that site since skillet.org had the Alien Youth theme which was just a few months ago. And that was when Ben joined, which means that CD was released in 2001. So I say he's at least 20. Can anyone give me a clearer idea of how old the man is? Be much appreciated.

He would suck (and does) without God. Since he has Jesus, he is an awesome guitarist. Just don't forget where it all comes from people!

that's cool that you can play the keyboard. i wish i knew how to play piano...it would have helped me more in my years of choir. but hey, i picked at notes here and there to help. :P

i don't know about you, but i wouldn't laugh. the only music i laugh at is weird al.

what would make me laugh is Ben on the jug, Lori playing a pot with a wooden spoon, John on rubber bands, and Korey on the washboard. Of coarse they would all be barefoot, wearing overalls, and thier name would be The Fryin Pans. ok so call me strange, it wouldn't be the first time....

btw last night on Travel Channel they were at the Gibson factory. It was cool. My poor hubby was feeling tortured.... He would love a Les Paul.

My friend has an original Les Paul Deluxe he got back in the 60s. He let me borrow it for over a month since he never plays it. I just gave it back to him Sunday, I didn't want to part with it though lol. I think Tyler from AudioA has 2 one gold one red, but they're the newer models.

they have I can chords on www.christianguitar.org , they sound right to me, and they have the solo part too. where did you get the tabs you're trying to use? I'd like to try them out.

That's the problem!!! That’s where I got them. Call me stupid because I'm not really good at reading tabs. I can read music notes a lot better because of my guitar class at my school! Thanks anyway bigpanhead!!! ;)

reading tabs is easy. they tell you what string and fret to play.

i understand that part. it's just that tabs don't tell you how long you have to play each note.
